Who to hire?
With me having an interest in web design and development it has always been a question as to which would do better, a web design company or a freelance designer?
I should imagine that the average guy wanting a web site would go with the freelancer, because the would be cheaper and offer a more personalised service. Whereas a larger company might want to adopt the company route as they will offer a wider range of web development services. A company I have come across a few times is Q-Industries. Who offer a whole load of services. Of course the offer web design and devleopment but with the current fast pace of the web these companies now have to offer everything from marketing, online marketing, promotion, branding, social media, search engine optimisation and so on. Its a great deal for a freelancer to compete with so there is no wonder that more anmore web design/development companies are popping up by the day.
Any freelance able to do the whole deal could not manage more than a handful of clients, and how many people would it take to cover all the task? An expert in one field and another in the next. Is the industry too saturated, or are things just getting started?
